Welcome to 2nd House Sculpt

What’s with the studio name? Well…this all started in my basement, which happens to be the second house in when you turn onto my street. I originally taught barre classes, and although I love barre in its purest form, I wanted to create a class centered around building strength while still moving fluidly to music. theSCULPT class is exactly that, and it’s my always my go-to choice of exercise when I’m feeling uninspired and not in a let’s workout type of mood.

So now you have the basic origin story: second house on the street where it all started + my favorite type of movement/class format = 2nd House Sculpt. Want to dive a little deeper? Keep reading 😉

Any sort of shared experience builds connections between people, and that includes the shared experience of taking a fitness class together. Chatting before and after class, moaning and groaning about how difficult a particular exercise is…it all builds connections. Those connections inevitably turn into friendships, and coming to the studio is like visiting your second home - the house where a lot of your friends hang out.

And theSCULPT is my favorite class format, but exercise also strengthens your body and mind. Your muscles become stronger and more pliable, and your cognitive functions (i.e., attention and memory) improve. So you might even say that exercise sculpts your body and mind.
