theRESET
What’s theRESET class? Strength, mobility and flow set to a 45-minute calming playlist. This class is a reprise of the current week’s theSCULPT and incorporates ankle weights and dumbbells for additional resistance. Besides the playlist, there are two key differences between theRESET and theSCULPT:
Although the movement sequences for the two classes are the same, theRESET places the sequences in a completely different order than theSCULPT. Rather than following the same format for each class (check out this post about theSCULPT for more background), theRESET mixes up the format each time. Doing so introduces a level of unpredictability for your mind and muscles, which keeps the class new and interesting.
The music used has a slower beat than that of theSCULPT, so the movement sequences in theRESET are performed at a slower pace. This allows you to pay attention to your form and drives your muscles to control each and every motion, which is way more challenging than you might think.
If you feel overwhelmed and/or overstimulated but still want to get in a great workout, theRESET is for you. The slower pace is incredibly challenging, but the quieter playlist gives you the chance to calm your mind and reset your intention for the day. Hence the name of the class 😉
